Life with 3 kiddos !!!

It's so funny to think back to when we first had Ellie and I thought I was pretty sure that I wanted to have 6 kids. Then after Avarie I thought well... maybe 4. NOW.. I am pretty sure 3 is a great number. Don't get me wrong I love kids. Especially my own. But my mind has shifted a bit. It's been great, there are those times when I might just need to be checked into a mental istitution but, everyone has those days right? Well I am just glad that Ellie is such a great help with Avarie and the baby. And Avarie is a sweetheart. Actually she is pretty self-sufficient from what I could tell on Friday. I fell asleep on the couch during Sesame Street pretty sure that she would be fine for a few minutes. Ellie was at school. So Avarie had free reign. When I woke up she was standing on the dishwasher door with sippy cup in hand she had the lid, the cup and the stopper. I asked her what she was doing and she said bob bob dink. Which is translated to her Spongebob drink. She also had the Hannah Montana cd playing on the stereo in the other room. The cheetos on the table, the watter bottle and a towel out and had sprayed the table apparentely trying to clean up. So that's an idea of what is going on. I promise not everyday. I will write more later. Gotta go to bed.

Baby Cason is finally here !

So here's the story of what happened...
As you all might know, I have been trying to have a baby since I knew he was full-term, well Wednesday was that day. My mom arrived last Friday since I was pretty darn sure the baby was coming exactly 3 weeks early which would have been on Saturday. But instead we went to a fall festival and walked around. Then on Monday I was at the Dr's office and he did some sweeping and said I cannot induce you on Tuesday since the baby hasn't come down at all. So I was really bummed out. I had an appt. on Thursday and we were going to evaluate the situation then. So my mom, the kids, and I proceeded to do as much as possible to get the labor on the road we went to the zoo on Monday, Tuesday we went shopping at an outdoor shopping center for a few hours and then on to Wal-mart, Wednesday we were back at the zoo. Well I started some serious contractions in the rain forest at the zoo. We went there at 3:30 and walked around for about 2 1/2 hours. By the time that I was in the parking lot I couldn't walk through my contractions. I called Blaine on the way home and said we have to go the hospital right when we get home, well as you know i am kinda a drama queen and Blaine knows that all to well, so he said ok I'll stop and get some pizza, I think he thought I was trying to get out of cooking once again. But I was truly in labor. We all got home at the same time and 3 mins. later Blaine and I were out the door on our way to the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital at about 6:45 pm and checked into triage and the sent me right into a birthing room and hooked me up to an IV immediately and the the epidural. So at approx. 9:30 I was ready to have my water broken. Well Dr. broke the water and then everyone left the room. We 9:38 I was in total pain and ready to get the baby out. I was yelling "I have to push" There was no one to catch the baby. Blaine ran out in the hall to get the dr and everyone was running like crazy. My doctor barely had his gloves on and said ok push! I did one tiny push and at 9:41 our little boy was born. The surgical tech only had one glove on, the tray of tools wasn't in the room, and my baby was in shock and was barely breathing. The nurses called NICU to come look at Cason but in 5 mins he was normal and pink. All i can say is WHOA!!! It was fast and it was fairly easy. So that's the story.

Cason has been doing very well and as for me I am super tired, but I love being a mom and feel very blessed to have 3 beautiful, healthy children. And A great husband, family and friends. I have nothing to complain about. I am BLESSED!

Just Waiting....

So the last couple weeks have gone by super fast. There is no baby here yet but probably sometime soon. Last week we had a false alarm, that turned out just fine and the baby is fine too. My next Dr.'s appt is Friday. I am making bits of progress at each appt. I really want to have the baby but I also want to make sure he's healthy and that my mom is here. She arrives next Friday the 19th and that will be a stress reliever. So for now I am trying to get everything clean and ready, Can we say "NESTING" I don't remember ever feeling this crazy and having 50 million things going through my mind but in all reality all I need is to set up the pack and play, clean all the bathrooms, mop the kitchen and foyer floor, catch up on laundry, wash all the kids bedding go through closets, dust, finish Cason's room, organize the trainwreck under our stairs that has all the kids' toys in there, organize my laundry room, organize my closet, make a few trips to goodwill, oh and get diapers and a some flannel to make Cason some recieving blankets and burp cloths. So Blaine tells me tonight oh you don't have that much to do just go to bed, in my mind I am thinking he is crazy! But guess what I am sitting here blogging instead, I am such a procrastinator. I will start all these things as soon and my labor starts.

In the mean time here are some fun pictures of the last few weeks.
This is Layla our neighbors little cutie and she and Avarie are good girlfriends

An eventful month!

The last few weeks have gone by very quickly we started the month be searching for a bigger car which has been a heated discussion at the Dart's for the last 8 months. And starting in June we were trying to sell our Trailblazer privately but twice the sell fell through and I was so over trying to sell it. So we saved a little and started looking. Well Blaine was convinced that we were buying a minivan. Well I had other ideas. I had been basically drooling over a Jeep commander ever since I saw them. Well we have test drove them about 5 times and I found one that was a great deal. So we went down and tried to put the double stroller in it. Did it fit NO WAY! The salesmen knew I wanted it so he tried to maneuver the stroller but the back wouldn't close and I was trying to convince Blaine that we could make it work, but there was no way. So the only other choice on the lot was a Town and Country and the one that we were considering was pretty darn nice and it was loaded with every option possible, that was my deal if I was going to drive this thing I wanted it to have everything.. Well I happened to be researching and found a Nissan Armada, we went and checked it out and loved it. Super Nice, and that's what we ended up getting Here is a Picture of my beautiful new car. The one that we bought is tan, I am so excited that the hunt is over. It seats 8 adults comfortably, we are installing a DVD player and we love all the room.

Ok so onto other important things, Blaine had hernia surgery last Thursday and he is feeling somewhat better has returned to work despite what I told him. I begged him to take it easy but I think he was going nuts at home. Which if you know Blaine he is not a patient person. And all of the time that the kids and I aren't held accountable for drives him crazy since he is used to accounting for every minute of his day. But I figured he should know that my time is accounted for just check the bank statement he pays me very well.haha... In all reality he is doing good.
As for me I am stinkin tired due to Blaine's surgery he is not able to lift more than a milk carton. Which he doesn't even like milk so...?? just kidding. He is not very much help with the nightly things that I am used to having him do for me like bathing the kids or just taking them outside so I can breath for 5 seconds. So a week of that has exhausted me. But I need him to get better fast so I can have the baby and have his help. The baby is good I am good my next Dr.'s appt is next week so we will see what the status is. Ok enough blabbering gotta go to bed.

A look inside...

Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to have a look at our new little boy, Cason! My doctor's office was testing out a new 4-D machine and we happened to be one of the 3 people that they called to be a guinea pig to test it out. So we were able to see the baby up close. From what we could see Cason definetly has the kids' nose and Blaine's chin and Very chubby cheeks. How amazing it was to see the baby, I could watch that all day. It was like a sneak preview. We also recieved a DVD of the pic's I will try to post those as well.

The Last picture confirms IT'S A BOY!!

Happy Birthday to me... Happy Birthday to me...:)

Yesterday was my birthday, and it was a typical day in the life of the Dart's. I had a lot of phone calls which was great to know that all those the people thought of me. Ellie was so excited for my birthday she woke up and came in our room and said, " Mom, do you remember what today is?" and at first i didn't really but I said "what is today?" She said, MOOOOMMM it's your birthday!!!" I thought oh yea it is isn't it. Wow it's just not that exciting anymore it's not like I was going to Chuckee cheese or something. Ok I really shouldn't complain me and the kids stayed in our pajamas until lunchtime. We read books, watched spongebob, and the went to Mcdonald's for chicken nuggets. So how does that sound? Just like a birthday party for a 26 year old ? But really I love those days with the kids when there is not anything to do. We can just play and hang out. And they make me happy just watching them and they get so excited and help me to remeber all the things I should be thankful for. I love my girls. So when Blaine got home we went to dinner at O' Charleys where kids eat free what could be better. Then we went to Ellie's soccer practice. I really am thankful for my fun family and having such beautiful kids, and a wonderful husband who tries harder than he should have to, just to make me happy. So all in all I am Lucky just to have a family to be with on my birthday.

It's has been way too long..

What's new though? I am such a blogging loser. So what's new with us? Not much. We are addicted to the Wii. And each night Blaine and I find ourselves cussing at eachother and the tv while playing Mario Kart. You know husband and wife bonding... But we love it and so do the kids. We have also found ourselves searching and preparing for our new little boy! (2 months left) We started painting his room and just finished changing Ellie into a Queen bed! What! She is one spoiled 4 year old. I need to post a picture though, it's very cute. Ellie has been spending a lot of time in the back with their new pool and she is as tan as a little indian. If Indians have blonde hair. HUH? Um.... nevermind you get the point. We have been attending the zoo trying to take advantage of the free movies at the theatre and soon we will be able to go to the Y which for those of you who don't know what that is. It's a huge recreation center with a gym and pools and a splash park. Although that didn't come easy. Blaine somehow decided that a Y pass was going to be money well spent after I hired a cleaning lady for the house. As some of you may know Blaine was not down with that, but that's all it took. I hired her. And Blaine was in a frenzy. In fact the next night he cleaned the kids bathroom and now does the dishes more often. A threat was all it took. I fired her already. So then I bought a steam mop for the floors which I love so sososo...... much. And it's so much easier then filling up the bucket, wearing gloves, getting on your hands and knees, and an hour later wow you think it's clean but is it? Well after steaming my floors the cloths were black. And I would of kept going but I only have two cloths. So money well invested. It only took me 30 mins. to mop over the floor twice. Ok enough of that I sound like an info commercial. So enough ranting and raving. That's all I have for now. Happy 4th of July.

Two Words....

Rascal Flatts

Last night we got to experience the concert of a lifetime. Ok, I know it sounds way over exaggerated but, OH MY GOSH! I loved them before a lot. Now I am amazed.

The show started off with Kelly Pickler who is suprisingly really good. I thought she would be obnoxious but she wasn't at all. So I was sitting there thinking even if was just her I would go home happy. But then they announced Rascal Flatts are coming out the whole stage lit up. it was so neat there were fireworks and everything. I honestly did not move for 2 1/2 hours. I loved it.

Other than that the great news is we are having a BOY! Yea!

We found out on Friday and the boy part was right there for all the world to see.

We are very excited!

Ellie said she knew it was a boy. Well what's new that's her thing lately.

So that's the Dart's exciting news for the week.

Happy Mothers Day everyone!!

I should of thought before I opened my mouth...

So the other night we were talking with our neighbors and we started talking about this one night we went out to dinner with them and my family doctor. And as we were finished with dinner we were all coming back to our house to hang out and talk. Anyways, as we were walking out there was this HUGE dodge truck, you know the kind with the four yellow lights on the top and the quad tires in the back just a big huge hick truck. Ok so Melissa my neighbor says, "Hey Randy ( her husband) there's your truck!" And I looked and said," Randy that's a HILLBILLY Truck!" Well little did I know the driver of the trucks wife was standing right in front of me this 5'2" little old lady waiting for her nice old fashioned farmer husband to pick her up curbside. OH my Gosh can you believe this oh it get's even better. So she proceeds to say " That's my Hillbilly truck!"
I said " a-a-a-a-aaa I like hillbilly trucks."
And then she looks at me and yells as she's getting in " DO YOU WANT THE HILLBILLY PAYMENT!"
At that time Blaine was like Sum shut-UP and let's get into the car. My doctor and his wife took off the opposite way. Randy and Melissa were stuck walking and riding with us. Hillarious huh?? That's what I get for speaking before I think...

A Great Weekend!

Our weekend turned out to be not to bad after all. On Saturday we hung out with our good friends Randy and Melissa. This pic is old from Halloween (obviously) but it's cute. So Saturday we went over there and had a BBQ. We have come to love Randy's foil packet potatoes and onions. And so we bring a side or meat and they provide what we don't anyways it's way fun and the closest thing to family in Fort Wayne that we have.

So after dinner Saturday, Blaine and Randy decided to go to the "MAN STORE" which is also know as Lowe's and they came home with a chiminea which is a fire thingy for outside and some plants for our yard. That was Sweet!

Because now we can have fires any night of the week. And actually tonight we had another BBQ with them and roasted marshmallows and made smores.

It was a lot of fun and tomorrow we are having another BBQ with Nikki and Lynn some friends of ours that moved to Vegas that are in town this weekend. So it's officially BBQ season. I love BBQ!! Especially because that means I don't have cook, maybe just make a salad or something.:)
So I guess I shouldn't complain about such a boring life. I am glad we have a few good friends here.

Such an interesting life.....

This week has been a blast! haha Not really. My week started with having to say goodbye to my wonderful, helpful, patient, loving, amazing in-laws. I hate goodbyes and certainly treasure the moments I have when our family comes to visit. So we took them to the airport Monday night. Then I got to read all my good friends blogs about our stay in Arizona.

Tuesday, I watch Payton and Gillian which has become quite the experience. Gillian is 7 months old and is a very high maintenence baby. She is adorable though. And then there is Payton who as time goes on he is getting more comfortable with ignoring me and the things I say. Like it was time for lunch and I said," Payton come and eat." I must have said it a thousand times finally I told him that if he didn't come eat it was time out. Well he just stood there and looked at me like you are not going to do this. Well it sucks to put somebody elses kids in timeout. But what else could I do he would not respond. So he cried the whole two minutes.
By the time 5:30 pm Tuesday night hits I have absolutely had it. So your all probably wondering why are you doing this still. Well because the extra spending that I don't have to justify is great! BOTTOM LINE. I might have to quit shopping! hahahaha that's a joke.

Wednesday night is young womens. Which happened to be spending time at Walmart trying to help the girls pick out fabric for the YW camps pajama pants. I really enjoy the YW.

Thursday we played outside in the beautiful weather. And then found some trees to plant. Oh I need to post more pictures. I will when the yard gets more put together.

OH the post is horrible and boring but just nothing funny or remotely interesting happened this week.

ARIZONA here we come..........

Our very first vacation together was wonderful. Thanks to our great friends the Mear's and Tuttles. Thanks again.... I was very worried about how the kids would do. And come to find out there was nothing to worry about. The kids did great! And they were great for Mark and Karen.

So our first flight out of Cleveland was fine. But, then we got on our plane to Pheonix. It was going to be a 4 hour flight and as we are getting on the plane Blaine is looking ahead to guess who we might to get to squeeze next to. Oh well, I was lucky enough to sit in between Blaine and this other man that was bigger than Blaine. I thought i was going to lose it. By the end of the flight I was freaking out and hyperventilating (spelling?). On top of that the guy had the nastiest breath ever and he kept breathing deeply towards my face. Ok enough of that.

We arrived at our hotel and it was gorgeous. I am so thankful that we were able to stay at a place like that. The place was huge. So Blaine was attending a conference there and I got to hang out with our friends and it was so much fun it's a good thing we knew people there. I was able to enjoy a morning at the spa with a massage and a pedicure which was amazing! The best part of our vacation was when we all me at the Cheesecake Factory. The Kings were able to come and we sat and talked and ate for 2 1/2 hours. It was so fun for all of us to be together again.
We had so much fun and thanks to the Tuttles to introducing us to Guitar Hero which is the funnest thing ever. I gotta get one. And for all the driving you all did.
So now we are home and I was so excited to see the kids. They were just as excited. Karen had dinner in the crockpot and we rested a lot. It's so nice to be home. Even though we enjoyed our time alone. Mark and Karen leave tomorrow and then what? It's been so much fun. And hopefully I can keep this blog updated more often.

It's Friday!

Today was a very eventful day!! We had a YW presidency meeting at my house and one of the women have 3 children, 1 boy and 1 girl and a newborn. All the kids were upstairs playing and the little boy Jenson comes down completely naked and had been playing in Ellie's old tub water. It's was from last night. That's what I get for not supervising Ellie and tubtime. So then they were all clothed and the girls decided to play dress up well Ellie didn't need panties on just a jacket so she came running down naked next. I have to say it was really funny but i didn't let her know I thought that it was. Next, Jenson needed to potty well didn't quite make it and ended up peeing on Ellie's carpet. OH MY GOSH. WE ARE TRYING TO HAVE A MEETING HERE!!! So cleaned that up and they all flew downstairs and were all hungry. What else is new Ellie is hungry 24-7 and it's worse when she is entertaining guests. (Probably gets that from me!). So they had snacks and I sat down so we could get this meeting wrapped up. Well I hear silence and then the water on in the bathroom downstairs. I UNLOCK the door and all three kids are in there with the FAMILY size bag of cheetos nice huh?? So it was soooo... time to end this meeting. So that was the first part of the morning.
We went to lunch at Culver's with Angie and the kids.(Thanks for letting me pick, I am one hungry pregnant lady) Anyways, that was fun. Then Ellie started to complain that here tummy was hurting (this has been going on for a few weeks now ) so I called the doctors office and they let me come right then since they weren't that busy. Well they needed an X-ray, Blood work and a urine sample. OK! this should be great trying to take blood from a 4 year old that hate shots to begin with. Ellie turned out to be just fine and did great considering the took 4 tubes of blood. And luckily she needed to pee since we had been there and she remembered mommy having to pee in a cup when she was pregnant with Avarie so no biggie about the cup. Ellie is such a brave, good little girl. She teaches me so much every day and I love her very much.
So then after the doctors, we went to Old Navy and she got to pick 2 pairs of flip flops and a shirt for being such a brave girl. I of course loved that. So it was a fun day. And I love my crazy girls so much. I am so thankful for them everyday, as well as my wonderful husband who for some reason puts up with my attitude ( Thanks Blaine).
GOODNIGHT!

Friday, March 7, 2008

This week has flown by. It usually does with Monday and Tuesday being the day I watch Peyton and Gillian. And by Wednesday it's time to catch up on the things I just let go. You know like Laundry, Laundry and Laundry. It never ends I don't know how I end up doing 10-12 loads a week there is only four of us. Anyways, I can't start complaining now I've got a long ways to go.

To catch you up on the family Ellie, is going through the wanting to be naked, needing to argue, ( she is never wrong), doesn't need sleep to stay happy, not wanting to clean up because it takes way too long, She might miss an episode on Noggin, so she DVR's every freakin thing on there and it takes me 30 mins. to delete all her crap. She is such a determined little girl and she always tries to manipulate her way into getting what she wants. HMMM..... Sounds like someone I may know.???
Avarie is the sweetest little thing she started walking a few weeks ago finally. She is so good she loves to sit and the bookshelf and lay on her tummy and look at books. Then occasionally she'll get up to get into the Pantry and point at everything but she really wants cereal or cookies, or to get a drink of milk, or play in the toilet. That's my girl. She loves to say No No No to anyone who gets near anything she's holding or eating. Mostly to Ellie but sometimes to me. Especially if she doesn't want to take a nap.

Blaine has just been really busy with work and prepping for a trial at the end of the month but always seen to make plenty of time for us. Yesterday he came home to play out in the snow with Ellie. She even talked him into pushing her on the swing set with a foot of snow under them. The girls definitely have him wrapped around their fingers. The highlight of Ellie and Avarie's day is when they hear the garage open.
I am just hanging out. Feeling really tired, oh so very hungry. Never quite felt this way with the other pregnancies. I am otherwise feeling great. 9 weeks and counting. My first Dr's appointment is on April 14 th.

UNTIL NEXT TIME........

JUST DO IT!

I became a member of the blogger team in Oct last year. Haven't written since day one. But today my friend Amber inspired me to start again. I get so jealous of all these awsome blogs and so maybe i can JUST DO IT!

So some of you may not know this but we found out we are expecting our 3rd baby. Due in October hopefully sooner. It was definetely a huge suprise but we are so excited. Of course it's now time for a boy. But a girl would be easy cause i have all of that down.
It's funny because with Avarie Ellie had predicted that I was pregnant and I didn't even know yet. She told me that I have a baby girl named Kayla in my tummy (keep in mind Ellie was 3) what???@! So 3 weeks later I found out I really was. Then 4 months later I found out it was a little girl crazy huh? So with this one she was playing with Peyton and they both ran up to me and Ellie says, " You have a baby in your tummy!". Then they ran away. Ok freak! That's what i thought. But once again 3 weeks later it was true. FREAKY little Ellie. She hasn't revealed to me what the sex of the baby is yet. Maybe soon.... Anyways, how's that for a first blog. So Gripping!!! Stay tuned as you know we are a crazy family....
